I know, I know, I’ve been quite absent on my blog lately. I have been so busy with school, life, you know, the usual excuses. Having been kept busy by all these tasks, I think that it is safe to say that I certainly understand the overwhelming feeling of distress. When I first starting feeling “actual” stress, I never knew how one should go about dealing with it. Because life is such an amazing thing, I’ve learnt so many ways to deal with distress and I’d be more than honoured to share them with you!
1.Firstly, understand what stress is. According to the Oxford Dictionary, stress is “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances”. I’ve heard so many people misuse the word stress and I believe that I too, misused the word at one point which made me carry unnecessary anxiety.
2. Practice stress relief activities. There are so many ways to relieve stress from simply giving yourself a minute to breathe to exercising or even listening to calming music.
3. DON’T stress eat or stress starve. I think that it is safe to say that this is the last thing you are thinking of when you are stress but it important to be mindful of your eating pattern. Your health is your wealth and therefore, you shouldn’t let an obstacle threaten it.
4. Get organised. Instead of squandering because you are sressed, take action and manage your surroundings. By having an organised surrounding, you are more likely to make better decisions, relieve a substantial amount of stress and be a lot happier.
